Welcome! I'm a licensed psychologist with a deep passion for the intersection of mental health and the law.
After 15 years of dedicated service with the State of Georgia, I'm thrilled to launch my private practice: The Wright Group-Forensic and Clinical Psychology, LLC.
My vision for this practice is to be a trusted resource for courts in Georgia. I specialize in forensic evaluations that are thorough, impartial, and clearly communicated.
In every aspect of my work, from expert witness testimony to sentencing evaluations, I aim to provide judges and attorneys with ethical clinical insights that uphold the law.
More about my experience
My passion lies in bringing clarity and objective psychological understanding to complex legal matters, and I've had the privilege of doing so as a qualified expert witness in hundreds of legal proceedings across the state.
Throughout my career, I've had the unique opportunity to contribute significantly to forensic services in Georgia. Most recently, as the Assistant State Forensic Director-Community Services for the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, I oversaw more than 4,000 court-ordered psychological evaluations annually for Juvenile, State, and Superior Courts.
This experience, along with managing extensive community-based forensic programs and supervising individuals involved in the legal system, has given me an unparalleled perspective on the critical role of sound psychological assessment in the pursuit of justice and assisting the trier of fact.
Where it all began
I am a proud graduate of Spelman College, and I’ve also earned advanced degrees in counseling and clinical psychology from Clark Atlanta University and the Georgia School of Professional Psychology.
I completed an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited internship in forensic psychology and forensic neuropsychology, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in forensic psychology.
